Where do you deliver?
Currently, The Crafted Story delivers exclusively in Ahmedabad. This is to ensure that our fragile deckle-edge journals reach you via local hand-courier in pristine condition. We plan to expand to Gujarat and other parts of India soon.
What is vegetable-tanned leather?
Vegetable tanning is an organic tanning process that uses natural tannins found in bark, leaves, and branches instead of harsh chemicals like chrome. It preserves the natural wrinkles, scars, and grain of the hide. The leather softens and darkens naturally over time as it absorbs natural oils from your hands, creating a unique patina.
Will my fountain pen bleed on your paper?
No. Our journals feature heavy-weight cotton-rag papers (120-150 GSM) which are completely acid-free. They are tested with heavy fountain pen inks, dip pens, watercolors, and calligraphy inks with zero bleed-through or feathering.
How do I care for my leather journal?
Keep the leather away from water and direct sunlight for extended periods. If it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately. You can apply organic leather conditioner once every six months to keep the leather soft and moisturized. Minor scratches can be buffed out simply by rubbing the leather with the oils from your thumb.
